High Volume Automotive Coating
Serviscreen’s Piston Coating Division is dedicated to the high volume application of anti-friction skirt coatings to improve fuel efficiency, reduce the risk of scuffing, and reduce noise and emissions.
We typically apply a Molybdenum Disulfide (MoS2), (DOW Molykote) coating to the skirts of automotive pistons using screen printing, otherwise known as silk screen printing.
In addition to automotive pistons we also screen print moly anti-scuff coating onto heavy-duty (diesel) pistons. Our size range capacity is 25 to 250mm.
Serviscreen has the experience to assist you in choosing or formulating the perfect coating for your application. Application thickness can range from 3 microns to 45 microns per skirt, with coating control as close as +/- 2 microns.
